Aston Villa and Adidas’ Black Sabbath and Ozzy football shirt and cleats

Aston Villa Football Club and Adidas have unveiled new jerseys and cleats in collaboration with Adidas Black Sabbath and its frontman Ozzy Osbourne.

Ozzy and fellow Black Sabbath member Geezer Butler are big fans of their home club in Birmingham, as seen in the announcement video for Aston Villa’s partnership with Sabbath, which dropped in July.

Now the club has released its first merchandise in collaboration with the band, culminating in a new shirt with the Black Sabbath logo on the back below the number.

Aston Villa will be at Sabbath Uni for the Carabao Cup match against Crystal Palace on Wednesday (October 30). Fans can pick up the limited edition shirt via the Aston Villa Store, with 200 home kit shirts and 50 black goalkeeper variants available for £120 ($156), limited to one per customer.

“My absolute favorite colors in the world have always been purple and black,” said Ozzy about the new partnership with Aston Villa (via the club’s website). press release). “They have been Black Sabbath colors for over 50 years. In addition to the jerseys, Aston Villa and Adidas also showed off new Predator 24 football boots with a hand-painted design by artist Jordan Dawson that pays tribute to Ozzy and Sabbath. Sadly, the eye-catching boots won’t be available for purchase, but Villa goalkeeper Emi Martínez will wear the custom-made boots in an upcoming match.

“By hand-painting this design onto one of Adidas’ most iconic shoes, I was able to merge visual art, sports and the spirit of heavy metal music, resulting in a truly unique, bespoke piece,” said Dawson . “This collaboration brings together creativity and craftsmanship and offers a unique expression that stands out in both the sports and art worlds.”
