Harris gives ‘closing argument’ at the Ellipse

WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – With less than a week until Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are delivering the message to their supporters: this election will be a challenge. On Tuesday evening, Harris chose to deliver a message from the Ellipse in Washington, DC

Both candidates kicked off the final stretch of their campaigns, but with former President Donald Trump in a battleground state, Vice President Kamala Harris delivered her “closing argument” in the nation’s capital.

“If you give me the opportunity to fight on your behalf, nothing in the world will stand in my way,” Harris said.

With the White House as a backdrop, she reminded Americans of what her opponent had done years ago at the same location.

“He is the person who stood in this place nearly four years ago and sent an armed mob into the Capitol to overthrow the will of the people in a free and fair election,” Harris said.

The former president took the stage in Allentown, Pennsylvania to warn voters about what he says Americans will get with a President Harris.

“This election is a choice between whether we have four more years of gross incompetence and failure, the worst administration in the history of our country,” Trump said.

Trump leaves for North Carolina on Wednesday and then on to Wisconsin. Harris is headed to Pennsylvania and Wisconsin after a visit to North Carolina.
