Stanley Tucci’s new lasagna pan makes me want to try lasagna

Stanley Tucci’s new lasagna pan makes me want to try lasagna

I’ve never thought much about lasagna pans. Why would I – a small apartment dweller with already limited space for their cooking utensils – need a baking pan with a name that implies it serves only one purpose? Then I heard that GreenPan and Stanley Tucci were teaming up again to release a nonstick ceramic lasagna pan. ‘Well, I guess I have to try it now,’ I thought.

The new release expands Tucci’s GreenPan cookware line and joins the ranks of the editor-approved Stanley Pan And ceramic non-stick pan which came out last fall. And while I’m sure Stanley Tucci had visions of people beating up his favorite lasagna recipe When you name this pan, it is actually just a deep rectangular dish that you can use to make all kinds of things, lasagna or something else.

I got the pan in a beautiful cream color and I love how elegant it looks with the gold accented handles. It’s great for making deep brownies, and I can actually take this straight from the oven to the table for serving. The price tag is a bit high, but I think it makes a great gift for any host in your life (because who thinks about buying themselves a lasagna pan?). You might even be inspired to actually make lasagna in it.

But wait, there’s more

Here’s a look at more new launches we’re excited about:

Verve Dwell coffee brewer

Noah Kaufman, senior reviews editor: Taking a good coffee maker with you on the road can be a bit cumbersome. Chris Morocco likes to bring an Aeropress, but I’m adding the new, soon-to-be-packable Dwell brewer to my travel coffee kit. It’s a silicone pour-over dripper made by Californian coffee roaster Verve. The slightly squishy brewer has steeper walls than some other drippers such as the Hario V60, allowing the contact between water and coffee to be increased. And for people new to pour-overs, they printed the coffee to water ratio directly on the bottom of the coffee maker.

Made in pie form or Thanksgiving set

Emily Farris, senior commerce writer: If you’re hosting Thanksgiving for the first time this year, or if you’re ready to upgrade from the hand-me-down pans and dishes you purchased for your inaugural holiday hosting gig, one of our favorite DTC brands on the market is a solution. Made In just released their Ultimate Thanksgiving Set, which bundles everything you need to cook your turkey and serve it in style. It consists of three main parts: a large, stainless steel-lined roasting pan with a raised nesting rack to ensure every bit of your bird gets crispy skin; a timeless egg-shaped bowl with sloping sides that is dishwasher, freezer and microwave safe; and a simple meat carving kit that includes a knife with a sturdy 9-inch blade and a two-prong carving fork. If you’re experiencing a little sticker shock right now, I understand. However, remember that this is a bundle. Considering the quality of Made In’s cookware and tableware, it’s a pretty good deal, too. (There’s also a pie serving set if you’re in charge of pastries this Thanksgiving.)

Great Jones all aboard the cutting board

Megan Wahn, associate commerce editor: The new Great Jones All Aboard cutting board offers the best of both worlds for those who prefer plastic cutting board but want a more antique-inspired silhouette. It comes in Great Jones’ classic blueberry and broccoli colors and features a loop handle for easy grip. There is also a nice juice groove that can catch any spilled liquid, making it an excellent tool to use for holiday hosting and dinner party prep.

Wicked x Voluspa collaboration

Alaina Chou, commerce writer: Like many, I have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Bad November movie. There has been no shortage of it Bad-inspired products and collaborations I fell in love in the run-up to the premiere, but this themed candle set from Voluspa caught my attention. It includes both an Elphaba- and Glinda-inspired candle, each with its own jewel-like glass lid that doubles as a stand. The complete set would make a great gift for the Bad-fanatic in your life (even if that Badfanatic you are) and the candles are also available separately, as a mini tin, or in diffuser form.

MacKenzie-Childs Pretty As a Bow Tea Kettle

Megan Wahn, associate commerce editor: I own (and love) one electric gooseneck kettle from BA favorite Fellow, but I also love the look and feel of a conventional hob – and this bow-adorned kettle from MacKenzie-Childs really made me think about the potential benefits of owning two different kettles. I already love the coquette, pastel checkered pattern trademark of MacKenzie-Childs pieces, but the precious little bows on this one really complete the whole look with a nice, pretty bow, literally. I think this is the perfect gift for anyone (myself) who wants to get ahead on their holiday shopping.
