Cristiano Ronaldo ‘pushing hard’ to reunite with ex-Man Utd teammate at Al-Nassr, with move guaranteed until 2025

Cristiano Ronaldo is doing everything he can to reunite with former Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba at Al-Nassr, and what is certain is that the Frenchman will leave Juventus in the coming months.

PogbaThe 31-year-old failed a doping test in 2023 and was subsequently handed a four-year ban, which appeared likely to effectively end his playing career. However, the ban has since been reduced to 18 months on appeal, meaning Pogba will be allowed to resume training in January and make his first appearance in March.

Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has already confirmed that Pogba has no future in Turin.

“Our position is clear,” Giuntoli said recently DAZN. “Pogba has been a great player, he has been out for a long time and last year we were forced to invest in other players. So now the selection is complete as it is.”

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that Juventus will terminate Pogba’s contract so he can find a new club. His status as a free agent should make that easier for the player.

And according to Italian outlet TuttoJuvea reunion with Christiano Ronaldo on the Saudi Arabian side, Al-Nassr could be considered.

Ronaldo and Pogba crossed paths Man Utd in the 2021/22 campaign. According to the report, Ronaldo is ‘doing hard’ to convince Pogba to join Al-Nassr.

Other options are open to Paul Pogba

When news of Pogba’s suspension reduction initially broke, speculation immediately arose that he would return to France by joining Marseille.

TuttoJuve Suppose the most likely outcome is that Pogba ends up in Saudi Arabia or the US with an MLS side.

Transfer insider Rudy Galetti has told TEAMtalk that a bid from Marseille cannot be ruled out, as other outlets claim. Nevertheless, Galetti understands that Los Angeles FC or the Saudi Pro League remain the better bets.

There were also curious links with Arsenal, although we are told there is no factual basis for this.

In a recent interview with L’EquipePogba said: “I’m thinking about coming back and getting out of this situation. Of course, you never know what tomorrow will bring, so never say never.”

When his suspension was shortened, Pogba added: “I was really happy.

“I hadn’t done anything, why would they give me four years? I will be able to do what I love most again. It’s like I’ve been given another chance.

“I got back something that was taken from me. It has been given a new lease of life. March is tomorrow, it will come soon. And it’s something I can’t wait for.”

In other news, Ruben Amorim is closing in on becoming the next permanent Manchester Utd manager.

Ruud van Nistelrooy has taken over as interim manager following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag and will be in the dugout for tonight’s EFL Cup tie against Leicester.

Elsewhere, Amorim appears unlikely to engineer a reunion with Sporting CP’s star striker Viktor Gyokeres at Old Trafford.

Although the Swedish marksman will ‘very likely’ hit the road in 2025, Heaven Germany claimed he is probably heading to one of Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea.

Finally, there is speculation that Joshua Zirkzee could leave Man Utd in January destroyed once and for all. Both Florian Plettenberg and Fabrizio Romano have stated that an early return to Serie A is completely out of the question.
