1 arrested, 1 wanted in stolen vehicle investigation

TIOGA, La. (KALB) – A woman has been arrested and a man is still wanted in connection with a stolen vehicle, according to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.

said R.P.S.O Jessica Taylor Harvey31, of Channelview, Texas, asked to test drive a vehicle on Oct. 22 at a business in the 5000 block of Hwy 3225 in Tioga. Authorities were contacted when she did not return.

RPSO obtained an arrest warrant for Harvey and identified another person of interest. Gage Michael Kittinger26, of Pineville.

Harvey was found that evening and arrested for theft of a motor vehicle (>$5,000 <$25,000). It was learned that she was also wanted on a felony extradition warrant out of Harris County, Texas.

Thanks to an anonymous tip, the stolen car could be located. RPSO located the vehicle at a home in the 2000 block of Hwy 8 in Flatwoods. When deputies arrived, Kittinger drove away in the vehicle, leading them on a high-speed chase into Natchitoches Parish. Kittinger then crashed the vehicle and fled on foot. The stolen vehicle was recovered and returned to its owner.

Authorities are still looking for Kittinger, who remains a suspect armed and dangerous. He is wanted for theft of a motor vehicle > $5,000 < $25.000, criminele samenzwering, zware vlucht voor een officier en eenvoudige strafrechtelijke schade aan eigendommen > $1,000 < $50,000.00.
