Golden Retriever-Chow-Chow mix Sadie got a new roommate last month, a kitten named Egg.

Unfortunately, the dog did not understand that the small animal was afraid of her.

All attempts to contact the fur ball failed… but just 24 hours later, hearts melted by the dozens!

Sadie’s owner John Whitaker published one video of the animals who met each other on TikTok last month.

The clip shows that first impressions aren’t everything!

At first, the dog Sadie repeatedly approaches the scared kitten, while it hisses like crazy and resists.

“On the first day, Egg was scared of Sadie because she’s about 80 times heavier than him. Sadie wants to be everyone’s best friend, so there were plenty of times where Egg ran away and Sadie whined because she just wanted to make friends,” Whitaker explained in an interview with Newsweek.

“I was a little worried at first, but I knew as long as Sadie was good to him, they would get along,” the pet owner said.

“The biggest difficulty was making sure Sadie wasn’t too nosy and giving him enough space,” he added.

After a hard shot in the video, Sadie is seen lying on her back and getting a massage from Whitaker’s girlfriend Victoria Angel.

But it’s not just the woman at work, it’s also Egg the cat!

So is the cat knead the Golden’s belly, ‘making cookies’ in the way that cats do when they are satisfied or when they are trying to keep their mother’s milk flowing.

“Victoria and I are so in love with the relationship that Egg and Sadie have,” Whitaker enthuses.

“They are the sweetest little friends and play together every day!”
