Family friend Nicole Pagliaro organized the fundraiser to cover hospital and funeral costs for the Raimondos, who face a road to recovery that Pagliaro described as “long, arduous and full of enormous challenges.”

“We are reaching out at a time of deep sorrow on behalf of Christina and her two beloved sons, Matthew and Michael,” Pagliaro wrote. “Recently, this family experienced a devastating domestic violence incident. Michael, a beloved 15-year-old son and brother, tragically lost his life.”

Pagliaro called Raimondi a loving and devoted mother “who always put her family above all else,” and noted that surviving son Matthew is a “bright, kind-hearted young soul who brings warmth to everyone around him.”
