Gresham High School student referred for criminal charges after shooting threat

GRESHAM Ore. (KPTV) – A Gresham High School student is facing criminal charges after threatening a school shooting on social media, Gresham police said Wednesday.

The threat was made the day before the Gresham-Barlow School District held a meeting safety meeting where Police Chief Travis Gullberg spoke about his commitment to student safety.

“The 15-year-old Gresham High School student posted multiple photos and videos of weapons and made threats about a school shooting,” Gresham PD wrote. “A community member contacted Gresham Police and reported the threats to officers, who immediately began an investigation.”

They also said the FBI was involved in the investigation.
