This is Halloween! This is Halloween – and today’s biggest stars weren’t afraid to pull out all the stops on their costumes this spooky season.

The couples costumes were strong this year, with Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco kicking things off in a playful way Alice in Wonderland-inspired costumes. The Rare Beauty founder wore a blonde wig and light blue dress while Alice and the music producer opted for full make-up as Johnny Depp’s Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s 2010 film adaptation of the book.

As usual, celebrities also did some major photo shoots to accompany their costumes, while Janelle Monáe showed off her photorealistic costume as the alien ET. from the iconic 1982 film. Dressed in a full-length reproduction of the original doll from the film, Monáe modeled a number of looks from the film.

Megan Thee Stallion channeled a favorite animated character by playing Starfire from DC Comics. Khalid also continued the cartoon character theme with two costumes, Brock from the Pokemon franchise and Gerald van Hey Arnold!. In addition, Lizzo presents her self-proclaimed ‘LizzOzempic’ outfit, inspired by a recent episode of South Park.

Halle Berry was an inspiration to music artists this year, with Tyla, Halle Bailey and Coi Leray dressed as 1994 Sharon Stone. The Flintstones“Jinx” from 2002 James Bond movie Die another day and Patience Philips Cat ladyrespectively. “And they crushed it all,” Berry wrote in response about X. “The girls know how to make my day.”
