Killeen police identify victim in city’s 18th homicide investigation

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – Killeen police have identified the victim in the city’s 18th homicide investigation.

Police identified the victim as Anthony Glenn Powell.

On Oct. 16, around 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call after reports of a gunshot victim in the 800 block of West Avenue D, according to police.

When officers arrived on scene, police said they found Powell suffering from a gunshot wound.

Powell was flown to Baylor Scott and White in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries, police said.

An autopsy was ordered at the Southwestern Institute for Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
