COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Wednesday evening, Colorado Springs police said they were on accident alert status due to slick and snowy roads.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash alert is activated when they receive a high volume of motor vehicle crashes and they are unable to respond to the crashes due to severe weather.

The police only intervene in accidents if a car can no longer be driven due to damage, if there has been a death or injury that requires medical attention, if there has been alcohol or drugs, if there has been a collision or if there is damage to other public property. then wild animals.

Police ask motorists to report an accident within 72 hours.
