McLennan County Sheriff’s Office deputy fired after arrest for allegedly assaulting woman on Mother’s Day

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A McLennan County sheriff’s deputy was fired after being arrested for assaulting his wife on Mother’s Day, an affidavit alleges.

Allan Holloway, 37, is charged with assault/family violence.

On Oct. 22, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Crockett in Hewitt for a verbal disturbance on an open 911 line, an affidavit said.

The victim at the scene reported that Holloway was her husband and that the incident that evening was only verbal, the affidavit said.

While officers spoke with Holloway at the scene, the affidavit states that authorities informed authorities that the victim had made comments about Holloway’s attack on Mother’s Day during a previous 911 call.

According to the affidavit, the victim said she had photos of bruises on her arm from an unreported incident.

Authorities began investigating the incident at the scene and then the incident starting on Mother’s Day, the affidavit said.

The victim said during the Mother’s Day incident, Holloway grabbed her arm, causing her pain and bruising, an affidavit alleges.

During the investigation, authorities obtained photos of bruises on the victim taken on May 15, 2024, according to the affidavit.

Additionally, the affidavit states that a third party who was informed of the Mother’s Day incident also corroborated the victim’s story.

Holloway was arrested on Monday, October 28.

McLennan County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Cody Blossman said Holloway was fired after his arrest.
