The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department is investigating reported sexual assault at the Devaney Center

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department is investigating a reported third-degree assault that occurred at the Devaney Center on Saturday, October 26. That same evening, the Nebraska volleyball team played Michigan at the Devaney Center. Devaney Center.

Police said the incident occurred between 6:31 p.m. and 6:44 p.m., when an unknown man allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks as he walked past her in the hallway. The suspect is described as a man approximately 50 to 60 years old, wearing a navy blue T-shirt. The incident was reported to UNLPD on Tuesday. The police station informed the campus community about Wednesday’s incident.

Third-degree assault is a criminal offense and involves non-consensual contact without causing serious harm to the victim.
