US Election 2024: Arnold Schwarzenegger Breaks the Silence: Why He’s Voting for Kamala Harris

Former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to express his political views and announce his support for the Democratic candidates Kamala Harris And Tim Walz in the coming elections.

In a candid message, Schwarzenegger expressed his disdain for both major political parties and his frustration with the current political landscape.

“I don’t really make recommendations. I’m not shy about sharing my opinions, but I hate politics and don’t trust most politicians,” Schwarzenegger began, underscoring his unique position as a celebrity and former Republican governor.

Reflecting on his tenure, Schwarzenegger said, “My time as governor taught me to love policy and ignore politics.”

He spoke about his time in office and highlighted his achievements in environmental policy, job creation and infrastructure investment.

“That’s policy. It requires working with the other party, and not insulting them, to win your next election,” he claimed.

He also expressed disappointment at the lack of progress on key issues such as the national debt and immigration reform.

Despite his Republican roots, Schwarzenegger expressed disappointment in the party, saying, “My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, driven up deficits and rejected the election results.” He also criticized Democrats and expressed concern about local policies contributing to rising crime rates in cities. “I don’t like either side right now,” he stated.

Schwarzenegger then expressed his frustration with the political climate, saying, “I don’t want to get involved. But I can’t. Because rejecting the results of an election is as un-American as it gets.” He emphasized the importance of civic responsibility and emphasized his pride in being an American, above any party. “I will always be an American before I become a Republican,” he affirmed.

The actor turned politician condemned the rhetoric surrounding the film electionhighlighting the un-American nature of rejecting election results and referencing derogatory comments about the United States. “For someone like me, who talks to people all over the world and still knows that America is the shining city on a hill, that America is a garbage can because the world is so unpatriotic that it makes me angry,” he declared.

Despite his reservations about the Harris And Walz On various platforms, Schwarzenegger urged voters to turn the page on divisive politics, arguing that a Trump presidency would only worsen the current state of anger and division. “We must close the door on this chapter of American history,” he asserted.

He will be divisive, he will offend, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will only become more enraged.”
