As the post-Budget inquiry gets under way, there is one group of clear losers from today’s statement: farmers. The rural community is in uproar over Rachel Reeves’ changes to the farmland tax credit. From April 2026, this will be capped at 50 percent for assets over £1 million – which equates to approximately about 67 hectares.
