Dear Annie: My wife plans to meet an ex-brother-in-law who says he has feelings for her

Dear Annie: My wife plans to meet an ex-brother-in-law who says he has feelings for her

Dear Annie: My wife recently received a dinner invitation from her former brother-in-law to “talk about the old days.” She plans to go. I’ve seen them together a few times at weddings/parties, and it’s clear he has feelings for her. In the past, when I told her what I had observed, she confirmed it by saying, “She already knew that because he had sent her some romantic messages.”

I’m not a jealous man. I trust my wife. But I think it’s inappropriate for her to go because it might lead him further. What do you think? –Invitation to dinner

Best Dinner Invitation: The inappropriate thing about her leaving is that she is a married woman and she knows this man is interested in her. Attend dinner with her, or ask her to decline the invitation.
