Trump fan starts fight with pollsters over his Trump hat

A Trump supporter was caught on video verbally and physically attacking poll workers who told him that under state law he could not wear his pro-Trump hat near the polling place.

South Carolina authorities are to research an incident that went viral video in which a man in a “Let’s go Brandon” hat caused unrest at an early voting location in Orangeburg, SC:

RESEARCH WORKER: You’re not going to succeed….

(CROSS)

TRUMP FAN: You damn bitch!

CAMERA PERSON: Oh wow!

(CROSS)

Sir, listen, don’t swear at me–.

TRUMP FAN: This is my damn right here!

POLL WORKER: (INAUDIBLE).

TRUMP FAN: Then shut up and let me vote!

POLL WORKER: We have nothing else to say! We cannot help you! We continue.

TRUMP FAN: (THROWS HAT) There it is!

POLL WORKER: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

TRUMP FAN: (GABS THE POLL WORKER’S HANDS – SHE RETURNS).

POLL WORKER: Don’t do that!

CAMERA PERSON: My God. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.

(TRUMP FAN ADVANCE – POLL WORKERS RETAIN TRUMP FAN).

POLL WORKER: TAKE HIM OUTSIDE!

According to to WIS10“The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating the fight”:

According to sources, the Orangeburg County Department of Public Safety responded to the fight.

South Carolina law limits what people can wear to vote. Voters may not wear anything that shows a political party, a candidate’s name or the ballot.

The law says: “The poll manager shall use all reasonable means to keep the area within one mile of such entrance free of political literature and displays, and county and municipal law enforcement officers shall, upon request of a poll manager, ensure that any material shall be removed within one mile of such entry which is distributed or exhibited in violation of this section.”

The fight follows several incidents at polling stations, including another Trump fan who brandished a machete among supporters of the vice president Kamala Harris.
