AN AUSTRALIAN Oasis tribute band were shocked when a famous pop star interrupted one of their rehearsals to compliment them.

The music group, called Shakerfaker, was doing a run-through ahead of an upcoming performance at Bakehouse Studios when a famous figure surprised them.

They told fans the story on Instagram and joked, “Everyone, meet Shakerfaker’s newest fan.”

Shakerfaker posted a group photo taken with the Coldplay singer Chris Martinand added, “You may know him from Cold play but we know him as the charming guy who stuck his head into the rehearsal room at Bakehouse Studios and said, ‘Sorry to interrupt, but you sound great…’, which was nice.

“He looked at our set for Saturday and approved it.

“You should come and see us at George Lane St Kilda this weekend if you know what’s good for you!

‘Enjoy your stay, Chris. Thanks for coming to say ‘yellow’.”

Shocked fans have taken to the comments to react to the chance meeting.

One person wrote: “It gave me chills.”

Another exclaimed: “What the f**king f**k?!” in disbelief.

Others commented on the exchange on another social media platform, with one saying: “That’s fucking amazing. Congratulations on getting him recognized.

“While he may not make the songs as good as their early ones, he has written some great music and it is nice to receive positive recognition from one of the world’s most famous musicians.”
