Sandro Muhlach responds to DOJ’s formal case against GMA Network independent contractors

Actor Sandro Muhlach has broken his silence on his recent legal battle and expressed his gratitude to the legal system for formally recognizing his sexual assault allegations.

Muhlach’s statement came after the The Justice Department has filed criminal cases against two former television consultants, Jojo Tawasil Nones and Richard Dode Cruzin connection with the alleged abuse.

In an emotional post to his Instagram Story, Muhlach reflected on the courage it took to come forward and shared the personal difficulty of going public with his experience as a survivor of sexual assault and abuse.

“It was very difficult for me to tell my story – to come forward and tell the public that I was sexually assaulted and abused,” Muhlach wrote. He talked about how the fears many victims have about speaking out became reality, with the added burden of online criticism and bullying he had to endure.

“You can use many biktima, but it is similar. In addition to the trauma I suffered, I also faced online bullying and harsh and cruel criticism,” he explained. Muhlach noted how some accused him of dishonesty over a perceived lack of evidence, deepening his struggle to maintain composure and self-confidence.

Despite these challenges, the actor said he remained hopeful, adding that he felt validated by the legal system’s formal recognition of his case. “Finally, our justice system has recognized the truth,” he affirmed.

Finally, Muhlach encouraged other survivors to stand up for themselves and refuse to be silenced. “To all the victims of rape and sexual abuse among us, ‘wag nating hayaang manalo ang mga nagsamantala at bumaboy sa atin… Tayo rin ang papanigan ng katotohanan,” he concluded, urging victims to find strength in their stories .

The case has attracted significant public attention and Muhlach’s statement has sparked further dialogue about support for survivors and the personal challenges they face in seeking justice.
