Teen found shot near identified US-131 overpass

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The teen shot Tuesday near US-131 outside Kalamazoo has been identified.

Duane Lewis died at the hospital, the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said. The 15-year-old was found near apartment complexes at West KL Avenue on October 29.

Officers first arrived on scene because of a report of shots fired.

Neighbors told FOX 17 the shooting forced many of them to take cover in their apartments.
