Tucker Carlson says he still has scars from a demon attack

Tucker Carlson said he was “physically mauled” by a demon a year and a half ago, leaving him bleeding and still visible scars on his body from “claw marks” in a clip posted by the “Christians?” YouTube channel on Thursday.

To the question of his interlocutor: John Heers, if he thought that “the presence of evil makes people wonder about good?” Carlson replied, “That’s what happened to me,” before telling the story.

“I had a direct experience with it,” Carlson said.

“In the environment of journalism?” Heers asked.

“No, in my bed at night,” Carlson replied. “And I was attacked while I was sleeping with my wife and four dogs and was mauled, physically mauled.”

“A spiritual attack by a demon?” Heers asked.

“Yes, by a demon,” Carlson confirmed. “Or by something invisible that left claw marks on my side.”

The couple continued:

HEERS: So it left physical traces?

CARLSON: Oh, they’re still there. Yes, yes, a year and a half ago.

HEERS: Was your wife terrified? I know you were.

CARLSON: I wasn’t. I was completely confused, I woke up and couldn’t breathe, and I thought I was going to suffocate. And I was walking around outside and then I walked in and my wife and dogs hadn’t woken up. And they are very light sleepers. And then I had terrible pain in my ribcage and on my shoulder, and I was just sitting in my boxers and I turned on the light in the bathroom, and I had four claw marks on either side under my arms and on the other side. my left shoulder. And they bleed.

HEERS: Wait, they were bleeding?

CARLSON: They bled, yes – No, real claw marks! And I sleep on my side, so I didn’t scratch myself. I don’t have long nails and they didn’t fit my hands anyway. But yes, that happened.

Carlson went on to say that he consulted his assistant, an evangelical Christian, because he had “never heard of anything like this happening,” and that she told him, “It happens, people get attacked in their beds by demons.”

“What are you even talking about!” Carlson exclaimed as he laughed and remembered the conversation.

The former Fox News host said that after the attack he was “gripped by a very intense desire to read the Bible.” He said reading and then rereading it had been a “transformative experience.”

“Do you think God allowed the demon?” Heers asked.

“I have no idea what happened,” Carlson responded. “Nobody has to believe me, I don’t care, but it happened to me.”

On X, formerly Twitter, conservative writer Rod Dreher confirmed Carlson’s story, saying he told Dreher about it “about a year ago.”
