Arrest for murder of man found dead in Reno near Sun Valley

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Reno police on Thursday arrested a suspect in a January murder.

Police arrested Rafael Contreras-Servin, 43, on charges of open murder, firing a gun into an occupied building, destroying or concealing evidence and child endangerment.

On January 15, police learned that 25-year-old Adinso DeLeon Garcia had been missing since January 12. Later on January 15, police found DeLeon Garcia dead in the passenger seat of his vehicle at the corner of East Leonesio Drive and Crystal Lane in Reno. near Sun Valley.

The Washoe County Medical Examiner’s Office autopsy revealed that DeLeon Garcia died in a homicide. Detectives identified Contreras-Servin as the suspect.
