Gun pointed at vehicle in Solon roadside incident

SOLON, OH (WJW) – Two people were arrested in Solon earlier this month after a road rage incident.

According to a press release from the Solon Police StationOfficers were called to the area of ​​U.S. Route 422 East near Harper Road at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 21.

A driver called to report someone pointing a gun at him while driving in traffic on US Route 422. According to the affidavit, the driver reported that the suspect was driving a red Acura.

Shortly after officers arrived in the area, they located the vehicle and stopped it near US Route 422 and SOM Center Road.

The driver and passenger of the vehicle were both arrested.

The victim, who called police, said he had a dispute with the suspect over a lane change near highways 271 and 480, and that the dispute continued into Solon.

The victim also told police he saw the passenger of the Acura pass the gun to the driver, who then pointed the gun at him.

According to the release, officers found suspected marijuana and a loaded semi-automatic handgun in the suspect vehicle.

According to the driver of the Acura, the driver of the other vehicle gave him the middle finger and there was yelling back and forth. He admitted to officers that he pointed the gun at the other car.

The driver, 19-year-old Antonio Colon, and his passenger, 20-year-old Elijah Etheridge, were both arrested and taken to Solon Jail, charged with improper use of a firearm, the release said.
