‘I didn’t really believe it at first’

The driver of former President Trump’s garbage truck jumped aboard on Wednesday reveals how the viral moment happened in an interview.

Andrew Bisson, from Norway, Michigan, said he was having lunch when family-run garbage service LoadMaster received a surprise phone call, according to a interview he gave to Fox News’ The Story.

“I didn’t really believe it at first until I picked up the phone and spoke to the man myself,” Brisson told Fox’s Martha MacCallum. “And then, I think after a little conversation, he knew someone I knew in the industry. in the area. I went to our lot, found a nice garbage truck, got in it and headed to Green Bay.”

At that rally, Trump jumped aboard Bisson’s cart while wearing an orange workman’s vest.

Brisson told Fox that he and Trump weren’t able to talk much because the press held the former president’s attention. The worker said Trump shook his hand and said hello.

The truck driver even said he made the Secret Service’s hearts beat faster when the president asked him for a short ride.

“Once they were all done, I started the truck. I blew the air horn and then he looked at me and said can you take me for a ride in this thing,” Brisson told MacCallum.

“Yes, I can. And you know, I released the parking brake, put it in drive and started moving forward. I think, as Trump said, we only moved a few inches and then the Secret Service just glared at me and started waving their hands, and that was the end of this ride,” Brisson said.

Trump put on the orange vest and jumped into the cab of the truck to highlight President Biden’s recent comments in which he labeled Trump supporters as “trash.”

“What do you think of my garbage truck?” Trump asked reporters.

“This is in honor of Kamala and Joe Biden.”

President Biden’s comments were in response to this a joke told by comedian Tony Hinchcliffewho called Puerto Rico a floating trash island during last week’s Trump mega-rally at Madison Square Garden.

When asked to comment on the insulting statement, Trump said: “No one has done more for Puerto Rico than me. I took care of them when there were major hurricanes. No one can relate to Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican people better than I do. They love me and I love them.”

“I don’t know anything about the comedian. I don’t know who he is. I heard he made a statement, but it’s a statement he made. He’s a comedian,” Trump added. ‘What can I tell you? You brought in comedians, and I think he went ahead early in the show.
