New Jersey couple’s wedding haunted by love ahead of Halloween day ceremony

HAMILTON, NJ – It looked like a dressing room and perhaps a group of beautiful actresses getting ready for a play.

“The looks are: the glamorous red queen, the official flamenco dancer, the vampire bat and our fawn,” said Meghan Tornatore.

But it’s actually Lauren Huchel, soon to be Lauren Fields, who is getting ready for her dream wedding. It’s the only real way to get married when October 31st comes around.

“Yeah, so it’s a big costume party. We want everyone to have fun. Halloween is about getting together, dressing up, being silly and if there’s one thing we love, it’s being silly together,” Lauren said. You won’t find traditional items such as a veil, tiara or matching bridesmaid dresses here.

“This is what it’s like to be a bridesmaid at a Halloween wedding,” says Tornatore, a bridesmaid.

Lauren’s love Alex and his groomsmen are also all in.

“He’s going to be Dracula and I’m Dracula’s bride, so we have some damn accessories,” Lauren said. “The best man will be Jack Sparrow. With eyeliner and all,” she laughed.

The wedding will take place at the picturesque Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, New Jersey.

The officiant is also the maid of horror.

“They’re really getting married. I’m ordained for this and everything. It’s a real wedding,” Michele Castro laughed.

From Morticia Adams to the evil witch from Wicked, their guests also understood the assignment.

While the wedding may seem like a scary story

the main characters and their vows are based on true love.

“I promise to be your partner in creating a life that feels as timeless as our favorite stories. I promise to remain enchanted by who you are and to spend my life discovering every corner of you heart,” said Alex the groom.

The evening ended with a reception and the entrance of the holy couple for none other than ‘Thriller!’

“Put your hands together for the new Mr. and Mrs. Fields,” shouted a DJ.
