Three teens arrested in shooting in Methuen

Three arrests have been made in a shooting involving several teenagers in Methuen last week, police said Thursday.

Jayden Moreno of Methuen and Reggie Wells of Salem, N.H., both 18 years old, were arrested, along with a 16-year-old boy who was not identified because of his age, Methuen police said in a statement.

The three face multiple gun-related charges in the Oct. 21 shooting that injured three teenagers, according to police.

At 1:03 a.m., police responded to a report of gunshots and injuries in the area of ​​113 Boston St., the statement said.

Police found a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, the statement said. Both were treated at the scene before being taken to a hospital, police said.

A 16-year-old boy, who was also shot, went to the hospital on his own shortly afterward, police said.

The 17-year-old remains in critical condition in the hospital and the two other victims have been released, according to the statement.

Two firearms, including a 9mm ghost pistol, ammunition casings and personal items, were seized by police, the statement said.

Investigators identified Moreno, Wells and the 16-year-old as suspects and all three were arrested this week, police said.

The arrests followed an investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, the statement said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
