FHP investigating fatal crash in Escambia County

ESCMBIA COUNTY, FL (WALA) – The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate a two-vehicle crash on North W Street that claimed the life of a 34-year-old Pensacola man Thursday morning.

The FHP said a sedan driving by the victim entered the center lane and collided with a pickup truck around 11:37 a.m. on North W Street near Truman Avenue.

The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, a 32-year-old man also from Pensacola, was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the FHP said.
