Kylie Jenner’s confidence and poise in wearing bold, edgy dresses are nothing new for fashion lovers. From red carpet events to traditional occasions, the fashion powerhouse continues to turn heads with each of her looks. She recently unleashed her inner charm at the 2024 CFDA Awards, wearing a stunning black ensemble that resembled Angelina Jolie’s iconic look in her film Maleficent.

Kylie Jenner graced the 2024 CFDA Awards at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City in full style. However, it was her OOTN that attracted a lot of attention. She wore an all-black dress with a scaly bodice with feather-like details that resembled scales, a round, very short neck and full sleeves. The bodice was attached to a pointed skirt that brought out her curves. The exquisite piece came from the couture of Jean Paul Gaultier and was indeed one of a kind.

Jenner paired her black ensemble with glamorous makeup, which took the goth factor of her look to the next level. It included a generous amount of highlighter on her T-zone and blushed cheeks. Moreover, she opted for thin lines of eyeliner and nude lipstick to complement her OOTN. The fashionista knows very well how to complete her look. That’s why she kept her hairstyle minimal and let the outfit speak for itself. She opted for a sleek hairstyle with a wet finish. A pair of pointy heels completed the 27-year-old’s entire makeover and added an oomph factor.

Shortly after photos and videos of Jenner’s red carpet glam hit social media, her sleek updo and understated makeup allowed her dress to take center stage and left onlookers in awe. This even resembled Angelina Jolie’s villainous character from the 2014 Disney film Maleficent. For context, the dark fairy’s title role in the film is known for his black-hued clothing from top to bottom, in addition to bold red lips and dramatic long nails. One look at Jenner and her fans would be seduced by it.

This isn’t the first time Jenner has wowed us with her drool-worthy dress sense. At the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, the fashionista struck chords with her sartorial avatar in a vintage piece from the fashion house of Thierry Mugler.

Her exquisite dress featured wide-cut sheer sequins in a nude fishnet pattern, which clung to her body at the top part like a second skin. It was attached to a glittering, floor-length black skirt. She added a daring touch to the dress with her nude makeup and open locks.
