College GameDay announces guest selector for Ohio State vs. Penn State football: Buckeye Breakfast

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Comedian Keegan Michael Key will be the celebrity guest selector for the Saturday edition of College GameDayESPN announced.

The popular college football pregame show will take place at Penn State prior to kickoff between the No. 3 Nittany Lions and No. 4 state of Ohio.

Key was born in Southfield, Michigan, and attended the University of Detroit Mercy. He received his master’s degree from Penn State.

He is known for his participation in the popular sketch series ‘Key & Peele’, in which he starred alongside Jordan Peele. Key has also appeared in films such as ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ and ‘Pitch Perfect 2’.

Every week, College GameDay chooses a gaming site to host its show. Saturday is Ohio State’s 61st appearance.

The Buckeyes are 40-20 when they play at the College GameDay site, including a loss to Oregon earlier this year. Ohio State’s 40 wins are the most in the nation.

Each week, the panel – Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit – join the guest selector in the final segment in choosing winners from various games around the country.

Inside history between Ohio State and Penn State

College GameDay will take place for the 13th time in Ohio State vs. Penn State and marks the most appearances on the show for a matchup.

It’s a testament to the legendary rivalry between the programs. Although Ohio State has won the last seven meetings and 24 of the 38 all-time, its teams are often among the best in the country.

Saturday is the 12th meeting in which both teams are in the top 10.

It’s only the second meeting ever with both teams in the top five: OSU won 38-7 in 1996.
