Woman allegedly stabbed husband to death in Ibadan

A 33-year-old woman, Comfort Olalere Tinubu, has reportedly stabbed her 39-year-old husband, Olusegun Tinubu, to death in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

It was found that the couple, who married about three years ago, had two children from the marriage.

According to sources, the incident occurred around Gbeyi community in Adegbayi area of ​​Ibadan.

It was learned that the crisis started due to an argument over the woman locking the man out of the bedroom.

This later resulted in a fight in which the woman allegedly stabbed the man in the back.

It was learned that the matter was earlier reported at Gbagi Police Station.

According to a source, the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, Ibadan.

When contacted, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, said the matter is under investigation.

He added that updates will be provided accordingly.

Osifeso, in a brief statement made available to DAILY POST on Friday, said: “The case is under investigation at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department of the Command. Updates will be provided accordingly, please.”
