Doctor murdered because he asked group to clear the road

Rajkot: A group of people who blocked the roads by parking their cars reportedly killed a 51-year-old man involved in medical practices in Vartej district. Bhavnagar city on the night of Diwali.
Police said the incident happened around 1 a.m. Friday and the victim Shivraj Lakhaniwas a doctor.
The victim’s son Kahan filed a police complaint at Vartej police station stating that the group of people killed his father just because he asked them to clear the road and make way for his auto.
At night, Kahan and his friend were on their way to refuel his car because his parents wanted to leave for a pilgrimage on Friday morning. When they reached Yoginagar, the group had parked their cars on the road and were dancing to loud music. Kahan honked and asked them to clear the road. However, the suspect became enraged and started throwing stones at the car and hitting him.
Kahan called his father for help, but when he arrived, the attackers stabbed him multiple times as the arguments escalated.
Police identified the attackers as Prakash Khokhar, Bhavesh alias Bhavin Pandya, Kishan Dagla, Ritesh Khesti, Dev Chudasama and others. They have been booked for murder and other relevant parts of BNS.
