Man arrested for murdering Sandie Butler in Glasgow city centre

A man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a woman in Glasgow city centre.

Sandie Butler, 40, was found seriously injured on St Mungo Avenue about 12.55pm on Tuesday and was pronounced dead a short time later.

Detectives have launched a murder investigation following a post-mortem examination.

Police Scotland said a 53-year-old man has now been arrested over the death. The investigations continue.
