Six people shot and two killed in shooting at Halloween party in Northglenn

Gunfire broke out at a house party in Northglenn last night, killing two people and wounding four others. according to the police.

Northglenn officers arrived at the home near Belford Drive and Bruce Lane shortly after midnight on Halloween to find several partygoers struck by bullets.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and five others were taken to a local hospital, where one has since died, police spokesman James Burlison said Friday morning.

Police initially issued a shelter-in-place order for the area, which was lifted around 5:36 a.m., according to Burlison. Although officers have not arrested anyone in connection with the shooting, Burlison said they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the victims. the public.

Burlison also said officers do not believe the incident was a drive-by shooting and it is too early to say whether it is related to gang conflict.

The deceased shooting victims will be publicly identified by the Adams & Broomfield Counties Office of the Coroner.
