Police tried to catch a masked porch pirate after receiving a 911 call about a robbery in progress.

The call came in at around 3.47pm on October 1 and sent officers to an address on Chelsea Road.

According to a police report, the woman who called met an officer who arrived about 15 minutes after receiving the complaint.

Upon arrival, she described what she saw.

She said two unknown men were in a black Dodge Durango and one jumped wearing a mask and grabbed a package from her neighbor’s porch.

She said the vehicle took off heading south toward West Road.

The Durango had a loud exhaust, she said.

Police spoke with the resident, who said the package contained an iPhone 16.

She said it was ordered through AT&T and delivered via FedEx.

There are no security cameras at her home and she did not witness the theft.
