The FBI raids the home of pastor John-Paul Miller after the suicide of his wife Mica Miller

The FBI raided the home of John-Paul Miller, pastor of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, on Friday, about six months after he announced the suicide of his wife Mica Miller during a sermon.

According to WBTW News13, no official connection has been made between the raid and Mica’s death. However, federal agents said they were “conducting court-approved law enforcement activities” at the pastor’s home.

Neighbors reported officers were executing a search warrant, with Miller believed to be absent at the time. Footage showed several FBI trucks outside the home, and Evidence Response Team agents gathering items.

Mica Miller, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in South Carolina’s Lumber River State Park in April, was captured on surveillance footage purchasing a firearm shortly before her death. Allegations of abuse and infidelity against Miller surfaced after he announced his wife’s death at Market Common Church.

According to DailyMail.com, scrutiny of Solid Rock Ministries has increased, especially after church leaders allowed Miller to return to the pulpit amid allegations of inappropriate behavior involving underage girls.

DailyMail.com also reported on further financial controversies, with Mica’s sister, Sierra, filing legal claims alleging that Miller and Solid Rock conspired to deprive Mica of her fair share of the marital assets.

In December 2023, Miller reportedly sold their shared Horry County home to Solid Rock Ministries for $169,331.31 – significantly less than its appraised value of $240,000 – two months after Mica filed for divorce, seeking an equal split of the real estate.

Solid Rock Ministries, which received a tax exemption in 2015, currently owns the property. As the investigation continues, attention remains focused on Miller’s actions, as well as Solid Rock Ministries’ properties and operations.
