Saturday’s performance at the LPGA event in Japan was canceled due to a tropical storm

Saturday play at the LPGA’s Toto Japan Classic was postponed due to the effects of Tropical Storm Kong-Rey.

The LPGA announced ahead of the third round that the Seta Golf Course in Shinga would be closed. The third round resumes on Sunday, with the event reduced to 54 holes.

The Japanese Hana Wakimoto leads through two rounds. She is 13 under par, two shots ahead of the American Yealimi Noh and the Thai Ariya Jutanugarn.

This is the last of four events on the LPGA’s Asian swing before the tour plays one tournament in Hawaii and two in Florida to close out the season.
