Darby Allin takes physical recovery seriously, Bobby Cruise has charged Tony Khan a ‘ridiculous price’

Darby Allin says he is taking his physical recovery seriously as he attempts to climb Mount Everest again.

Allin was due to climb the dangerous mountain in March, but this was postponed after he suffered a broken foot.

While speaking to “Levack and Goz,” Allin expressed his desire to keep himself healthy as he prepares for next year’s climb.

You can watch some highlights from the podcast below:

On taking his physical condition seriously: “I have to stay close to my physical recovery as I prepare to train for Mount Everest. I’m climbing Mount Everest in April and I can’t go in there with a bad wheel or a broken body. Every day I’m in the ice bath, in the sauna, and I have a breathing machine. Everything I can do to stay healthy. Yoga. I do everything. I love physical recovery.”

On having to miss the climb this year: “Yes. Two weeks before I was supposed to leave, I broke that foot. It was the most depressing thing ever. Everyone said, ‘It’s a sign you shouldn’t climb.’ Hell no. It’s a sign that I have to climb next year. We’re coming and it’s around the corner. I’m ready.”

Bobby Cruise says he has filed suit against AEW president Tony Khan “ridiculous price” to work the ROH Supercard Of Honor 2022 pay-per-view event.

During a recent appearance on the “AEW Unrestricted” podcast, Cruise explained how charging so much for his first appearance affected his status with both AEW and ROH.

You can watch some highlights from the podcast below:

About the nomination for AEW/ROH: “A former Ring Of Honor talent, I don’t know if he wants to reveal this, who is now with AEW, had floated the idea of me being their personal ring announcer. A bit like the things I did with Steve Corino in 2003 and 2004, without the language of course. So I said yes, of course. They were running it by a few people and someone came to me and said, ‘Yes, I think it’s a great idea, but Bobby, you’re very expensive.’

On so many questions for his Supercard of Honor 2022 appearance: “I remember thinking to myself: I never really talked about financial matters. I did Supercard with the amount requested and I was very happy with that, very generous. So I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ When the previous owners of ROH started running Supercard that year, I gave them a ridiculous price. People can say I’m Mr. ROH’s ring announcer, but the way it went and the way it kept going for the first few months of that year. I was worried about some friends who had bought some new houses and I just wasn’t happy with the way they were actually going about it, so I gave them a ridiculous price.

“Well, the people at AEW I was dealing with thought it was my price, my price per night. I said, ‘No, no, no.’ So I had to clear it up that night in Boston and say, okay, I’ll explain that stuff further down the chain. I said, ‘Oh no no, that was the price for the old property. This is very different.’ That was kind of funny, but it was almost scary. If they hadn’t asked me, they might not have continued using me just because they thought I had this ridiculous price in mind.
