Des Moines is the latest city to consider moving Beggars’ Night, according to research

DES MOINES, Iowa – After celebrating Beggars’ Night on Halloween for the first time in decades, the city of Des Moines is now asking residents if they want to see the change permanent.

Many metro communities like Bondurant and Windsor Heights have moved Beggars’ Night to the Saturday before Halloween. The change has had a positive response because it allows more time to prepare kids for trick-or-treating, and it’s not on a school night.
