Missing man found dead after wandering from home in Brevort Township

MACKINAC COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) – A missing man with dementia was found dead in Brevort Township on Friday after being reported missing the day before.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) St. Ignace Post says the 59-year-old man from Westland, MI walked away from a home in Brevort Township Thursday evening. The MSP said the man had dementia.

Despite extensive search efforts, the person was later found deceased on Friday. MSP says the cause of death is currently under investigation, but there are no indications of foul play at this time.
