Lance Archer explains why he changed his look, Mark Briscoe says ECW inspired him

Mark Briscoe says ECW inspired him and his late brother Jay to get into the professional wrestling business.

During a recent appearance on the “Battleground Podcast,” Mark noted how discovering ECW made them future wrestling stars.

You can watch some highlights from the podcast below:

On falling in love with wrestling: “The first time we ever got a glimpse of the original ECW… that’s when we fell in love with professional wrestling. Then I thought: ‘Okay, we now know what we will do on Earth.’ And go out there and go to this bingo hall in South Philly, Pennsylvania, like these wild guys, man. That’s what we’ve been doing our entire career. That’s what we focused on: the violence.”

On the fact that his rivalry with Chris Jericho isn’t over yet: “Jericho, you are a great sports artist. You’re also a good professional wrestler. But you can’t go down like Dem Boys can go down.”

Lance Archer has changed his look a bit since joining the Don Callis family, and he recently took to his ‘Hawk’s Nest Podcast’ to explain why he started wearing his hair down again.

You can watch some highlights from the podcast below:

About changing his appearance: “It was one of those things where I wanted to – I wanted to change, man. Want to join the Don Callis family? Things have to change.”

On being criticized for the change: “The insults that flew were fun to bear to an extent… It’s so funny how tough internet people are! It is what it is, it is the life of the internet age we live in; they are nameless, they have no face, they are very brave when they are on social media.”
