31-year-old wanted in connection with murder of 22-year-old Keambra Bibbs, who was found dead in Main Street parking garage

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — An arrest warrant has been issued for a 31-year-old man now charged with the murder of a woman found dead in a parking garage on Main Street near the medical center in September.

Cerdarian Thompson is accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Keambra Bibbs.

Now, Houston police say investigators need your help to find him.

Bibbs’ family spoke alone on ABC13 as they seek justice for their loved one’s death.

Nearly two months later, Helen Lewis says things aren’t getting any easier as they mourn the loss of the 22-year-old.

Lewis, the victim’s mother, told ABC13 she is glad investigators have now named a suspect and charges have been filed against him.

“I would feel more relief if he is actually in jail,” Lewis said.

Lewis said losing a child is a pain no parent should have to endure.

“You can’t run and you can’t hide,” Lewis said as a message to Thompson. “I ask you as a pleading mother who took a child from me for the rest of her life. Why are you running? What are you afraid of?”

Police said Bibbs was found dead on September 4 in a parking garage on Main Street, near the medical center, of multiple gunshot wounds.

Lewis said her daughter knew the accused killer and believes she died for money.

“You dumped her body. She probably could have made it. You know what I mean? So justice must be done,” Lewis said.

Court records show Thompson has a pending case for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, accused of shooting and nearly killing another woman in 2022.

On Friday afternoon, a woman told ABC13 she believes Thompson is a danger to society and hopes he is found.
