Pitt County Schools names new superintendent

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – An Eastern Carolina school district will name a new superintendent early next week.

The Pitt County Board of Education says they will name the district’s new superintendent Monday at 5 p.m.

WHITE reported on May 6 that Dr. Steve Lassiter would take over as interim superintendent after former Superintendent Dr. Ethan Lenker retired.

It is not clear whether Dr. Lassiter will become the new chief inspector.
