Erik ten Hag sends a heartfelt message to Manchester United fans after his dismissal

Erik ten Hag has broken his silence and sent a heartfelt message to Manchester United fans after being sacked as manager by the club. Ten Hag, who became Manchester United manager in 2022, was sacked by the club on Monday, October 28, after a poor start to the Premier League season that saw the Red Devils sit 14th in the points table.

Ten Hag’s dismissal came after their loss to West Ham and the Dutch tactician decided to send a message via his agency’s X account. In a long message, the Dutchman thanked the fans for their support during matches and off the field.

Ten Hag would then thank every department of the club for their help in good and bad times. The Dutch tactician said he would cherish the two trophies he won with United and claimed his dream was to add more to the cabinet.

Ten Hag concluded his message by wishing the club good luck and once again thanked the fans.

“Dear fans, let me start by thanking you. Thank you for always being there for the club. Whether it was a game away or a tough match at Old Trafford, your support has been unwavering.”

“Thanks to you, the atmosphere at Old Trafford has always been electric. I have felt it many times. Even during away games, it gave the team and me an incredible feeling to hear the United chants take over the opponents’ stadiums, whether the match was in England or during the summer tours.”

“I have always enjoyed meeting Manchester United fans all over the world. Walking the streets and being able to chat with fans in England, Europe, Asia, Australia, the US – you inspired me and radiated a strong sense of unity That’s what makes United supporters so special.”

“I would like to thank you for making me feel this way and for your support. I would also like to thank the staff in every department of the club for their continued support in good times and bad. We have won two trophies – achievements that I am proud of will cherish for the rest of my life, of course, it was my dream to bring more trophies to the cabinet. Unfortunately, that dream has come to an end.”

“I wish all Manchester United fans nothing but success, trophies and glory. Your support and the warmth I received from everyone at the club made me feel at home. Thank you for this chapter in my life. Erik,” the statement said.

After Ten Hag’s dismissal United subsequently announced Ruben Amorim as the new head coach. The current Sporting manager will take over during the November international break.
