CCR Announces New Executive Director: Butler Eagle

The Center for Community Resources in Butler has named a new executive director following the retirement announcement of former executive director Beth Gillan, who announced her retirement four months ago after more than 17 years of service.

Brandon Savochka brings experience in nonprofit and local government roles, most recently as Director of Human Services for Butler County.

Gillan will officially retire on January 31, 2025 and will remain on a full-time basis until that date, assisting Savochka with the transition to his new role.

“On behalf of the board of directors, we express our excitement and appreciation for Brandon’s new role as our executive director,” said Julie Sebock, CCR board chair. “His leadership and connections will continue to grow CCR. We look forward to this new chapter in CCR as we continue to provide the resources to meet community needs with programs and services in 67 counties across the state.

“We are proud of CCR and the great team we have had under Beth’s leadership and that we now work with Brandon every day to further our mission, make a difference in everyday lives and continue to be named a Top Place to Work in the Pittsburgh area. Change is not always easy, but we strongly believe that with Brandon this is not a change, but an improvement on our great work.”

Savochka is a longtime resident of Butler County and has a master’s degree in counseling from Waynesburg University and a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University.

Founded in 2002, CCR focuses on providing supportive services to individuals and families seeking information and referrals for behavioral health, mental health, substance abuse, intellectual disabilities and other human services needs.

Before choosing Savochka, a selection committee reviewed more than 100 applications, leading to final interviews and presentations with the board, upper management and the outgoing director.

As he steps into this new role in January, he will visit CCR locations across the state.
