Help by the Dozen meeting held | News, sports, jobs

ALPENA — Wednesday, Oct. 23, was the date chosen by Marlene Montie to host the monthly meeting of the Aid by the Dozen.

Kim Mischley was welcomed as a guest.

Thank you notes were read from previous donation recipients. The monthly donation went to the Friendship Room.

Halloween was a perfect time for secret friends to receive surprises: Nancy Ballinger, Carole Kelly, Sherry Allen, Tammy Daleski, Geri Skiba, Chris Dubey, Lori Zeller, Mariette Jore, Kaye Ross and Marlene Montie.

Nancy won the hostess gift and Mariette won the cake raffle. After dinner, Marlene served a delicious dessert and handed out Halloween treats.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, November 13 at 5:00 PM at The 19th Hole.
