Greater Noida: Woman killed when 17-year-old SUV crashed into her

A woman was killed while walking along the road after a speeding SUV, believed to be driven by a 17-year-old, lost control and hit her in Greater Noida.

The incident took place near CRC apartment complex in Greater Noida on Thursday and was captured on CCTV. The victim was identified as Shilpi, 27, from Jatpura village in Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh and was currently living in Bisrakh in Greater Noida.

In the video of the incident, Shilpi can be seen walking along the road when the SUV, allegedly driven by the teenager, lost control and hit her. The suspected teen then ran from the scene.

Police registered a case and Shilpi’s body was sent for post-mortem. They also started a search for the suspect.

After investigation, police determined that the car was driven by the 17-year-old. The teenager has been arrested and is being interrogated. Police say appropriate action will be taken against him after investigation.
