Geneva man charged with grand larceny, investigators say four others are involved

A Geneva man is facing theft and conspiracy charges after allegedly stealing two generators from a Waterloo business, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Harold J. Rivera, 41, was arrested Nov. 1 by Sheriff’s Investigators and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy. Authorities allege that Rivera, along with four other individuals, entered the business, took two generators worth $1,670 and left without paying.

Four of the five suspects involved have been arrested and more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Rivera was processed at the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and will be arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court.
