Person fights for life, cat killed in Tucson house fire

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – One person suffered life-threatening injuries and a cat was killed in a house fire in the 3400 block of East Flower Street on Friday, November 1.

The Tucson Fire Department said crews were called to the home near Grant and Alvernon around 4:30 p.m.

Crews arrived on scene within six minutes and extinguished the fire by 4:41 p.m., the TFD said.

One person was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. One cat was killed and another was rescued.

Two people were displaced and the cause of the fire is under investigation, according to the TFD.
