Russell Norman leaves £1.4 million in his will to his estranged wife Jules after suicide

ALBAWABA – TV chef and restaurateur Russell Norman is said to have given Jules, his estranged wife, £1.4 million in his will.

After a disagreement with his fiancée while drunk, the 57-year-old celebrity chef sadly committed suicide by hanging himself last November.

After his death, Norman, who is best known for starting the Polpo restaurant chain and its spin-offs Spuntino and Polpetto, bequeathed the significant sum to his family, including his three children, Mabel, Martha and Ollie.

In the 2013 will, he named Jules, whom he married in 2004 but later divorced, as beneficiary. According to sources, it included valuables totaling £1,437,000, comprising both personal and business belongings.

According to The Sun, Norman also longed for cremation and wanted his former partner to inherit his business interests.

In addition to his wish for cremation, Mr Norman had specified that his business partner would inherit his fixed shares.

He suffered significant brain damage and died five days later in the hospital surrounded by his loved ones, despite his girlfriend and medical professionals attempting to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

An inquest at Oakwood House in Maidstone in February found he had a blood count of twice the legal drink-driving limit and was considered a suicide pending.

After a disagreement with his lover, Dr. Genevieve Verdigel, an art scholar, had entered Mr Norman’s garden at his home in Pluckley. Tragically, she discovered him unresponsive and tried to save him.

“I ran back inside to call 999,” said Dr. Verdigel in a statement from coroner Katrina Hepburn. I tried CPR. When the neighbors’ people arrived, I was in a panic.

When paramedics discovered a heartbeat after resuscitation attempts, they sent Mr Norman to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford, which is nearby.

But after learning he had brain damage, doctors gave him end-of-life care. He died in hospital on November 23.

According to his inquest, he showed ‘suicidal tendencies’ before his death.

Ms Hepburn recorded a verdict of suicide and listed brain damage related to hanging as the cause of Mr.’s death. Norman.
