Russia’s Medvedev warns the next US leader against adding fuel to the fire in Ukraine – Russian politics and diplomacy

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. The United States will bring World War II closer if the next American president continues to add fuel to the fire in the conflict in Ukraine, Russian Security Council Vice Chairman Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with RT.

“If the next (American) leader continues to add fuel to the fire in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine with the same enthusiasm, it will be a very bad choice, because it will be a road to hell,” Medvedev warned in the interview on his website. page on VKontakte. “This would really pave the way for a third world war,” he added, urging US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris to recognize the fact. “Whoever decides to continue the war will make a very serious mistake,” he stressed.

The politician also doubted whether the deep state in the United States wants a new global war. “No deep state can survive” if the planet becomes uninhabitable, he argued.

According to Medvedev, American elites are mistaken if they think that Russia is unwilling to cross certain limits and use nuclear weapons to protect itself.
